No matter the struggle, no matter the fight, your future is strong, your future is bright. With Future Promise in all that you do, there’s nothing too big, no dream beyond you. You’ve got the power, and the heart, and the voice — To rise above and make your own choice.” — Tori Fontes, Founder/CEO

Off to the Races for a Brighter Future! 🐎✨

Hall of Fame Village on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Get ready to don your finest fascinators and sharpest bowties! Future Promise is thrilled to invite you to our inaugural fundraiser, A Night at the Races, hosted at the spectacular Hall of Fame Village on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Inspired by the excitement of the Kentucky Derby, this high-energy evening is the “starting gate” for our 2026 season of impact. We’re bringing the spirit of Churchill Downs to Canton for a night of:

  • Thrilling “Horse Races”: Cheer on your favorites and experience the rush of the track!
  • Derby Style: Show off your best race-day attire for a chance to win “Best in Show.”
  • Community Connection: Enjoy Mint Juleps, great company, and the chance to invest directly in the youth of Southeast Canton.

Why We Run: Every dollar raised serves as a “triple crown” of support for our kids. Proceeds directly fuel our Summer Transitional Program — providing licensed literacy instruction and STEM labs — and build the momentum for our 1st Annual “Illuminate” Gala this coming September.

Can’t make it to the track? You can still be a champion for our students! If you’re unable to join us in person, you can place your “bet” on our youth by making a donation in your absence. Your support ensures our students have the tools they need to cross the finish line with dignity and pride.

About

Future Promise is a youth-focused nonprofit organization committed to empowering young people through education, housing, and community support. Our mission is simple: to prepare youth for successful futures. We do this through a three-phase model that begins with our Summer Transitional Program, continues with supportive housing for at-risk youth, and culminates in plans for a comprehensive residential campus. We also provide vital year-round programming including school supplies giveaways, homeless outreach, coat drives, and after-school enrichment. At Future Promise, we believe every young person deserves the tools, support, and opportunity to thrive

🌞Summer Transitional Program🌞

📍 Program Overview
The Future Promise Summer Transitional Program is open to children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade and runs from June 8th, 2026-July 24th, 2026. The program operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and will be held at The Martin Center, located at 1253 3rd St SE, Canton, OH 44707. This full-day program is designed to provide children with a safe, engaging, and supportive environment throughout the summer months.

🎯 Why Join?
This program is intentionally created to combat the average 2.6-month summer learning loss by offering structured academic enrichment and educational support. Participants will enjoy a wide range of daily activities including STEM and reading labs, creative arts and crafts, outdoor recreation, and character and leadership development. In addition to engaging experiences, children will receive nutritious meals and snacks, all while being guided by a team of caring, dedicated mentors.
